The Girl Scouts are the target of a massive boycott by forces who say the organization known for Dos-si-dos and Thin Mints is disingenuous when it comes to its neutrality regarding hot-button political issues, particularly abortions.
The boycott — called a “CookieCott — was launched on January 30 and spearheaded by Pro-Life Waco, a religious-based nonprofit organization in Texas.
The group’s organizer, John Pisciotta, told HLN Friday that this is the group’s second time targeting the Girl Scouts. Pisciotta said the group targeted the Girl Scouts in 2004 over its relationship with Planned Parenthood.

It does not matter which side of the abortion debate we find ourselves. Girl Scouts is a great organization. The girls discover friendship, and the power of girls together. They build courage, confidence and character. Those traits are lacking with some (just sayin’).
To target a fundraiser such as the annual cookie drive is; well, in my opinion, wrong! Is it that, Whoever does not agree with my stance we will boycott your organization to force your hand mindset?
I hope cookie sales triple because of this. As a matter of fact, I purchased twelve boxes! I (truly) do support your opinion, and I have mine; however, I am not seeking your approval. Buying cookies does not mean I support or oppose abortion because what I think is NOT your business! Get a life!
